What is RotRe?
An app that shows street vendors and mobile food sellers near you right now: fruit carts, meatballs, sausages, drinks, desserts, from push carts, sidecars and pickups to stalls that are packed away every day. See them live on a map, with menus and prices, before you go. Choose to see vendors “on the move”, “at a usual spot”, or both.
When can I download it?
The app is in testing and not available to download yet. It is coming soon, and we will announce it on this page and our Facebook Page.
Where does it work?
Anywhere in Thailand. Shops appear on the map where vendors have opened their shop in the app. If nobody near you has opened a shop yet, you may not see any shops nearby. · Tap “I’d like one here” so vendors know someone is waiting (no commitment · sign-in needed).
Does it cost anything?
It is free for customers, and you pay the vendor directly; the app never handles payments. · Vendors open their shop for free during the trial. · No ads in the app, no behaviour tracking tools, and we never sell or rent anyone’s data.
Do customers need an account?
No. Browse the map, shops, menus and prices and set bell alerts right away. To see a shop’s phone number, call a shop over or tap “I’d like one here”, sign in with Google first (so vendors meet real customers).
What does a shop page show?
The shop name, menu with prices, a photo of the cart, the distance and how long it takes to walk or drive there (nearest shops first). Get directions with Google Maps or call the shop (the number is shown after signing in with Google).
How do alerts work?
Pick a type of cart and tap “Remind me”. When one comes within 100 m (up to 1 km) you get one alert, then it turns itself off. Tap “Remind me again” to set it again. · Or tap “Remind me” on a favourite shop to hear when it comes near or opens.
How do I call a vendor over?
On the shop page, tap “Call this shop to me”. The vendor can accept or decline, and you can chat while you wait. · Only vendors on the move who accept calls · Google sign-in needed.
I’m a vendor. How do customers find me?
Sign in with your Google account (no password to remember), set up your shop once with a name, menu with prices and a photo of your own cart or stall, then tap “Open shop” when you start selling. Customers nearby see you on the map right away. Opening a shop is free during the trial. Want to be one of the first shops? Message our Facebook Page with your shop name, what you sell and where.
What can vendors set up?
Choose “on the move” (customers watch your cart move live on the map) or “at a usual spot” (save your selling spot, customers see a pin right there, and it saves battery). · Set a daily opening schedule and an automatic closing time. · Decide whether to accept calls: when a customer calls you over, you get an alert with the distance and choose “Go” or “Not now”.
Can the app see my location?
Customers: while you browse the map, your GPS position is used on your phone to work out distances; the app only sends a rough area to get the list of shops and does not store it. · Vendors: while your shop is open, the app uses your phone’s location and shows your shop’s position to people using the app, even with the screen off, until you tap “Close shop”. Then the app stops using your location and removes your shop from the map. No route history is kept. · More in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my shop and account?
Do it yourself in the app, as a vendor or as a signed-in customer, or see how and what is deleted on Delete your account.
