Terms of use
1. What the app is
RotRe is a map of street carts, mobile vendors and stalls that sell food and non-alcoholic drinks. Customers can see where a shop is right now and ask it to come to them. It is free for vendors and customers. The app does not sell anything, never takes payments for anyone and does not represent any shop. Buying and paying happen directly between the customer and the vendor.
2. Who can use it
- Anyone can view the map without signing in. There is no age limit.
- Opening a shop, calling a shop, seeing a shop’s phone number and tapping “I’d like … around here” require signing in with a Google account.
- If you are 10 years old or younger, a parent or guardian should sign in, enter the phone number and make calls for you (Thai Personal Data Protection Act).
- Look after your account and do not let others use it; what happens through your account is your responsibility.
3. Which shops may be listed
- Carts, mobile vendors, stalls and roadside shops selling food or non-alcoholic drinks only.
- The shop name must be a food shop name (not just a person’s name or nickname); the menu must be real food or drinks; prices are in baht per piece, bag, glass or kilo.
- Shop photos must show the cart, stall, shop or the food — not a person as the main subject — and no phone number, LINE ID or QR code for contact.
- The shop phone field must be a Thai phone number (no LINE ID or link).
4. Forbidden
No selling, advertising, soliciting or asking for the following — in shop names, menus, photos, spot names, display names, notes or chat:
- Sexual services, dating, “companions”, massage that is not food selling, and prices per hour or per night
- Any drugs, cannabis and cannabis products, kratom and kratom drinks
- Cigarettes and vapes
- Any alcoholic drinks
- Gambling, lottery, betting websites and loans
- Weapons
- Scams, e.g. shops that do not exist, fake prices, impersonating another shop or brand, or asking for money transfers in advance
- Pornographic, violent, insulting, discriminatory, harassing or rude content, photos of other people’s faces or licence plates without permission, and photos or text that infringe someone else’s copyright
- Phone numbers, LINE IDs, social media names or links in shop names, menus, display names, notes or chat to move the conversation outside the app (except the shop phone field)
An automatic word check refuses to save or send forbidden content and may send doubtful content to our team. Trying to get around the check (spacing letters out, using numbers for letters, etc.) is also a breach of these terms.
5. Vendor duties
- Enter truthful shop details, menus and prices, and keep them up to date.
- Take care of your own permits, sell only in permitted places, and follow the relevant laws, such as food hygiene and safety.
- Tap “Open shop” only while actually selling, and “Close shop” when you stop.
- Saved spots must be public places where you really sell. Never save your own or anyone else’s home or lodging as a spot.
- Use a photo of your own cart or shop.
- Do not hold your phone while driving. The app reads call details aloud; stop the vehicle before answering.
- Accept a call only when you are ready to go. You may always tap “Not now” without any penalty; once you tap “On my way”, go as you said.
- Hand over orders by the road or in a public place. Do not enter customers’ homes, rooms or hotels. If you feel unsafe, cancel and tell our team.
- Use a customer’s name and phone number only to deliver that order — do not keep them for anything else, do not pester, do not share them.
- Use the app installed from Google Play on a phone whose system has not been modified (apps installed elsewhere or modified phones may be unable to sign in or open a shop).
6. Customer duties
- Call a shop only when you really intend to buy, and wait at the meeting point until the vendor arrives. If you change your mind, cancel as early as possible (see section 8).
- Meet by the road or in a public place; do not ask vendors into homes, rooms or hotels.
- Use your own phone number (or one whose owner agreed) and a display name that is not rude and does not impersonate anyone.
- Be polite; do not harass anyone or ask for anything forbidden in section 4.
- Check goods and agree prices with the shop yourself. Menu prices and totals in the app are estimates.
7. Shop and photo checks
- A new shop appears on the map at once if it passes the word check; if the check is unsure, the shop waits for our team.
- An edited shop name or menu that does not pass the word check waits for our team; customers see the previous version meanwhile.
- Every new photo waits for a team check before it shows. An automatic image check by our cloud provider (Cloudflare) may look at photos before the team, but a person decides.
- If something is not approved, the vendor sees the reason in the app and can fix it and try again.
8. Calling a shop, meeting points and penalties
- Customers can only call shops whose vendor turned calls on, within 5 km, one active call at a time, and up to 5 calls a day.
- Vendors have 5 minutes to answer and may accept or decline. Not answering or declining never harms the vendor.
- Meet by the road or in a public place. Vendors do not come into customers’ homes, rooms or hotels.
- The vendor you call sees your phone number and display name during the job. The meeting pin is sent to the vendor only after they tap “On my way”. Your phone number is deleted automatically after 6 months without calls.
- Before you cancel, the app always shows the consequence first, e.g. “If you cancel now, you cannot call shops for 2 days”.
Rules for customers
| What happens | Result |
|---|---|
| Cancel before the vendor taps “On my way” | Nothing · more than 3 such cancellations in one day locks the call button until midnight |
| Cancel within 1 minute after the vendor tapped “On my way” (first time in 7 days) | Nothing (a mis-tap or instant change of mind) |
| Cancel more than 1 minute after the vendor tapped “On my way” (also: a repeat 1-minute cancel within 7 days, or cancelling after the vendor arrived) | 1st time in 30 days: no calls for 2 days · 2nd time in 30 days: no calls for 7 days · 3rd time in 30 days: no calls for 7 days and our team reviews a permanent suspension |
| The vendor is 10 minutes or more later than the time they gave | You can always cancel for free |
| Not there when the vendor arrives (the vendor can tap “Not there” only within 80 m of the meeting point after waiting at least 3 minutes) | 1st time: no calls for 7 days · 2nd time: no calls permanently |
A suspension affects calling only; you can still use the map and the rest of the app. If you think it is a mistake, contact our team (section 16); we check the cart’s real positions and restore your calls if it was wrong.
Rules for vendors
- If you tap “On my way” but do not arrive within the time you gave plus 15 minutes, the job expires by itself and the customer is not penalised.
- The system counts internally (never shown to anyone) how often a shop accepts and does not come, or taps “Not there”. If this happens unusually often, our team may turn off the shop’s calls or suspend the account.
9. In-app chat
- Use it only to arrange the handover. No links, phone numbers or anything forbidden in section 4; the word check will not send such messages.
- Chat messages are not stored on our server. When someone reports, the latest chat messages on the reporter’s own phone are sent with the report if the reporter chooses (they see them first), and are deleted with the report.
10. “I’d like … around here”
A no-obligation way to tell vendors that people want to buy in an area. It requires signing in, up to 10 times per account per day, and expires after 40 minutes. Vendors see only a rough area and a head count. Do not tap it for fun or to mislead; there is no guarantee that a shop will come.
11. Reporting, blocking and hiding shops
- Anyone can tap Report this shop on a shop page, without signing in; nothing that identifies the reporter is sent.
- During a call and in chat, both vendors and customers can tap Report / block. Blocked people cannot call or chat with each other again, and a customer who blocked a shop cannot see its phone number. Reported or blocked people are not told who reported them.
- Customers who do not want to see a shop can tap Hide this shop; it no longer appears on that phone, and when signed in this also blocks the shop. You can unhide or unblock in the app.
- False or malicious reports break these terms. The system never hides a shop automatically because of the number of reports; our team checks and decides.
- People who do not use the app can report under the notice and takedown policy.
12. What our team may do
- Hide, remove or refuse shops, names, menus or photos that break these terms — immediately and without notice for serious matters.
- Suspend a customer’s calling, turn off a shop’s calls, or suspend (ban) an account. A banned Google account cannot come back, even after deleting the account in the app and signing up again.
- Report serious matters — involving children, human trafficking, drugs or weapons — to the police, and provide data on a formal request from an authority with legal power.
- Keep a minimal traffic log (account, encrypted IP address, time and type of request — no location, no chat text) for 90 days as required by Thailand’s Computer Crime Act.
- A vendor whose shop is hidden or removed is told the reason in the app or through the contact channel, without the reporter’s identity, and may appeal under the notice and takedown policy.
13. Personal data
What the app collects, who sees it and how long it is kept: see the privacy policy. How to delete your account: see Delete account and data.
14. Liability and limits of the service
- The app is only a map and a way to get in touch. It is not the seller and does not guarantee the quality, price or safety of food, which are the shop’s responsibility.
- The app is provided as is. Shop locations are approximate and may be inaccurate or delayed depending on GPS and internet signal; when the system is busy the map may lag by up to a few minutes; shops may have closed or moved. A shop that sends no new position for more than 60 minutes is closed automatically.
- To protect the system from abnormal use we may limit or pause part or all of the service temporarily. We try to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted.
- Take care of your own safety. In an emergency, call 191.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms; the effective date at the top of this page shows the current version. For important changes the app will tell you or ask you to accept again.
16. Contact and governing law
Contact us via the “รถเร่ใกล้ฉัน” (RotRe) Facebook Page or email kampanatth0222@gmail.com · Developer: PONG Developer. These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If the Thai and English versions differ, the Thai version prevails.
